Richardson Humane Society is an All Volunteer organization that rescues and finds new homes for animals in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.

To apply to adopt one of our pets, please take these 3 simple steps:

  1. Review our Adoption Process.
  2. Download and complete an Adoption Application
  3. Email the completed application to applications@richardsonhumanesociety.org, or bring it to one of our Adopt-A-Pet events. Please note that the RHS fax number is currently out of service, please email applications instead.

All adoptions take place at our Adopt-A-Pet events. Please check our events page for adoption locations and times.

Saving Lives by Fostering With RHS

Fostering is a wonderful opportunity to make a difference in the lives of homeless pets and in the lives of the families who adopt them.
Caring, responsible foster homes are needed for dogs, puppies, cats and kittens.
Food, treats, supplies and vet care are provided.
Foster families open their homes and their hearts to provide a safe and loving environment for homeless pets until a permanent home can be found.

Adopting a pet from Richardson Humane Society saves not just one, but TWO lives. The pet you adopt will have a loving forever home, and their placement with you will make space in one of our foster homes for another shelter pet in need. Thanks for saving TWO lives!
