2007 has been a challenging year in many ways. Losing Bronwen was one of the challenges we all faced together.
Bronwen had the “Heart of a Rescuer”. She was always one of the first to respond when we sent out a request for a foster for a particular dog. Even during her Chemo her response was “the kids and I will take this one”.
We have been trying to think of a way RHS could honor her memory. Tonight we pay tribute to Bronwen by honoring another foster with the Bronwen Barber Heart of a Rescuer Award.
Choosing one person was difficult because each person here has a heart for rescue.
Our honoree tonight started fostering in 2002 soon after adopting a dog from RHS. At the time she was a busy single mom of two teenagers, working full time. She, like Bronwen always has room when there is a special dog in need. At the present time she has two puppies recovering from surgery for broken bones.
Tonight we are pleased to honor Glenda Rampy with the Bronwen Barber Heart of a Rescuer Award.
