Handsome and sweet Hunter had a LOT of angels in his corner. He was passed over for euthanasia several times at the Balch Springs Shelter because of his sweet temperament, rescued by Dana Huffman, fostered by Laurie Baker, who had to move him only when it became apparent that Hunter was at risk of jumping her 4ft fence. Hunter moved to Pooch Hotel, where he was cared for by Dawn Ostendorf and staff. During his stay at Pooch Hotel, RHS volunteers Yvonne Ngo and Janardhan Prabhakara took him home many weekends to play with foster Sara Bear and adoptee Penny (formerly Puzzle). Yvonne, Janardhan, and other RHS volunteers transported Hunter to and from MTP events, including City Wide Pet Day, where his forever family found him. His family was actually in the park to see a different dog and – like everyone who met him – fell in love with Hunter.
