Lily Grace Woodrum

Lily Grace Woodrum

Precious Lily Grace passed away on Friday, February 9. She was one of 51 Maltipoos abandoned on a cold dark road in Flower Mound in October 2012.  Life was hard for sweet Lily Grace before she was rescued by Flower Mound Humane Society, fostered by Richardson Humane Society, and adopted and loved by Julia Woodrum.
So sad for the life Lily Grace suffered before she was saved and so grateful for the years of love and care she had with Julia and Bear.

From Julie, Lily Grace’s mom:
Lily’s cancer (lymphoma) accelerated, and she passed away last night. I sought out a second opinion, but he said she was too far gone. I gave her a lot of loving, carried her outside, Bear even let her sleep in her bed when she expressed a desire to do so. I picked her up last night and loved her. She put her chin on my leg. I picked her up and she stretched out across my lap and put her face under my arm like a baby would, and she relaxed and passed quietly away. I miss her dreadfully. I had worked so hard to make her final years the best that could be
and I think she appreciated my efforts. As difficult as it is to have to give Lily up to such a horrible disease, I am deeply grateful to have had the experience of giving her a good home and lots of love to go with it. She was a wonderful little doggie person.
