At long last, our sweet and very shy Catsanova "Novie" was formally adopted this evening. He was adopted by a very nice young man who gave Catsanova the time, space and attention that he needed to gain self confidence. We so appreciate you Conan and thank you for seeing in that shy kitty what others…
Handsome bulldog, Winston, was adopted today by a family with 5 girls (the oldest daughter wasn't available to be in the picture) to love on him and spoil him rotten! His new dad is happy to finally have another male in the family! :)
Thanks to Laurie Baker for a great job fostering Winston!
Sweet Nola was adopted by her foster mom, Lauren Womack. Lauren promises to share a Happy Beginning photo soon!
In the meantime, here is a photo of Nola to remind everyone how pretty she is!
George, Sandy DeBritain’s foster, went to the Rainbow Bridge this morning. He had an unfortunate set of genes that gave him really bad skin. His vet, Dr. Carter, and the Animal Dermatology Referral Clinic, just couldn’t get the condition fixed, and the medicines prescribed caused other problems as well, with spleen and liver enlargement. Sweet Jessie the Beagle left us to cross the Rainbow Bridge this morning after brightening our lives for over 6 years. We think she was about 11 years old.

Pretty boxer mix Betsy was adopted today! An owner-surrender who came to RHS through Duck Team 6/Hilltown Dogs, Betsy decided she knew a good thing when she saw it and made it permanent with her fosters, Holly and Kent Twitchell. Betsy will be their second “foster failure” and joins RHS-alumna Hattie (G-puppy Garson) as part…

Striped tabby Ping who was found as a kitten by Karen Kolze. She was adopted by an active family with a small menagerie of pets, including a dog, another cat and some birds, and several young children. She will have plenty of playmates to grow up with!
Ping was fostered by Karen Kolze and Bill Ewing.
Maggie Dahl and Martha Denton pulled Sugar and Spice from the Richardson Shelter and she was adopted by the Pierson family in June 2005. She was NEVER an easy dog; she did not get along with other dogs, and her family ADORED her and bent over backward to keep her safe and happy for almost 11 years.
