Joy Storch

Joy Storch

From her family:

Joy Storch passed away yesterday at 1:30p.  She was greeted by Casey, Button, and Dot at The Rainbow Bridge.  The last to go of our Dallas Posse of four.  During a routine annual teeth cleaning, her vet found a large tumor behind her back molar.  It was aggressive and terminal.  They removed it all to give us more time with her.  The biopsy confirmed it was malignant and oral melanoma.  Within 2 weeks it grew back.  Not in pain but becoming uncomfortable we woke up to find that she could no longer eat and her quality of life was diminishing.  It would have been selfish and cruel to let her go on.  Our decision to let her go was right before the calming of the storm.  Laying between my dad and I, her head on her best friend, Mr. Elephante and surrounded by her favorite sleeping toys … quickly and quietly it was over.  Thank you Dr Cyrus from Conejo Valley Veterinary Clinic for all that you could do to help her final days matter.  Thank you @ for bringing her into our lives for 15 years, adopted at 4 months.  Thank you @gkstorch for taking care of our baby while we were out of town for a wedding.  Loved by all, not one mean bone in her body, never growling or biting at anyone and “so good”.  We will forever have you in our hearts, yet there is a void, and seeing your face smiling at us hurts to think about.  December 31, 2007 – November 7, 2022.  We love you.
