Pete, the little red dachshund, has been adopted! Shortly after joining his foster home, Pete was diagnosed with distemper. It has a 50% mortality rate for adult dogs and his prognosis wasn’t good, but the fantastic team at AMCR didn’t give up on him (Dr. Falagrady even went to the clinic on Thanksgiving to check on him) and Pete managed to pull through. His foster mom, Judy, had already decided Pete was her “heart dog” and adopted him as soon as possible after his recovery. He joins a small family with stay-at-home parents and, as the only pet, he will get all the love and attention he deserves. And he’s keeping his name, since it’s cute and suits his personality.
