It was a sunny day yesterday to send our precious Simon to a bright future.
RHS rescued Simon from the Mesquite Animal Shelter in Jan this year and he was heartworm positive. He had a lot of fun playing with the resident dog in his first foster home. However, we moved him to a quieter foster home prepared for his heartworm treatment. Simon responded well to the painful treatment and he is healthy again.
Simon’s adopter wanted to get a dog for some time. She had many bigger dogs before and one of her dogs was heartworm positive. Simon was the first dog she saw in her search for a new dog. They’re a good fit and we can’t ask for a more perfect home for Simon. We sent Simon off with happy tears yesterday and we wish them a happy life together. We express our sincere gratitude to our first time fosters, Holly A & Jacalyn B for taking care of Simon. Great jobs and you’re Simon’s heroines.
