Sweet and shy Sparky went to his forever home today. Sparky came to us two years ago when his previous owner surrendered him at the Balch Springs shelter because he was “sick and wouldn’t eat”; the story goes that Mrs. Huffman (Dana’s Mom) overheard and asked if she could try and feed him – and…
Bree, fostered by the Pearson family, was adopted by a sweet family today. Bree made herself right at home during the home visit and decided to make it permanent! The Pearsons did a great job bringing Bree out of her shell.
Sofi was fostered by Martha Denton, then Melanie Bullock and Dana Huffman, and finally the Monroe family. The Monroes adopted her today. They had adopted from RHS two times before. They still have Vanessa, a chi mix puppy adopted in 2008. She's 8+ years old now, and it took a few weeks for her to…
Zoey went to her forever home this weekend, giving her the most wonderful Christmas present a pet could wish for! Zoey didn't take long at all to find her perfect family. Our sweet girl now has a human brother and sister to snuggle and play with, and a new middle name given by her little…
Sancho went to his forever home this weekend, giving him the most wonderful Christmas present a pet could wish for! He decided that his foster home would be his permanent home so he'd never have to leave his favorite little human. He hopes that someday she'll be big enough to actually throw the ball that he brought…
Faye was pregnant when she came to RHS (mom to Lovebug and Beetlejuice). She stayed at The Vet House for awhile with her babies, then she was fostered by Martha Denton, and finally by Marshall King and Angela and Lela Minton, who adopted her today. Her forever home includes four sweet little dogs, including Mako…
Widget knew along that she was home (so did we). :) Her mom and dad, Sandy and Bill Ackerman, rescued her when she showed up at their door on a stormy night. They fostered her, and made it official yesterday!
Jessa came into the RHS program this summer. She was treated for heartworms and fostered by Martha Denton, then by Courtney Lyle, who adopted her. She will be an only dog, at least for awhile, then Courtney may foster an RHS kitten or another RHS dog. :)
Sabrina waited a long time for her forever home! She came into the program with her mom, Audrey, and sisters Eliza and Sabrina in July 2015. She was fostered by Pooch Hotel, Alex Lopez, and then by Gladys Fung. Sabrina is the first and only dog for her sweet new family.
Playful kitten Notorious C.A.T. was adopted this week by a couple that has previously adopted from RHS. He has a new sister kitty named Inkling, and will be well loved his new home. He has tentatively been renamed Pumpkin for his orange coloring and October adoption, but that could change. :)
