Huck Adoption

Huck Adoption

Huck was adopted today! He joins a small family with a Mom and Dad and a canine brother. If his new brother, Finley, looks familiar to anyone, he is an RHS alum; his name was Chess and he was adopted in 2018. 🙂 Huck’s new family considered calling him Huckleberry to go with Finley, but decided on the name Ollie instead.

Rescued as a skinny young pup from the Balch Springs Shelter (I think – someone correct me if I’m wrong there!), Huck was fostered first by Linda Robinson and then by Kris Keesy and family (who also fostered Finley/Chess!). Kris nursed him through multiple leg surgeries and happily announced that today was the first time Huck had actually gone down the stairs on all four legs, instead of favoring the injured one.

Thanks to everyone who helped him along his journey and happy life, Huck/Ollie!!
