The VERY handsome Coda, one of Jamie's five puppies, was adopted this evening by his foster family, Mark and Kathy Shada. Kathy and Mark also adopted RHS's Lindale almost 4 years ago today!
Coda (now Frank), Lindale (Lenny) and their other dog, Kooper, are best pals.
Jimmy, a Richardson Humane Society alum, is going to be competing at Westminster this year! An agility champion, Jimmy was chosen as one of only 15 mixed breed dogs being allowed to compete in Westminster's agility competition on February 8. For 138 years, Westminster has not welcomed mixed breeds in competition but changed the rules…
When Dena Chappell decided that she might like to foster and place the tiny puppy she had rescued from a cold, icy parking lot a few months earlier, she turned to her friend Cynthia, a prior RHS adopter for advice. Cynthia, who had adopted Gladys Fung's foster Mercedes, referred Dena to RHS. Dena was familiar…
We had one special adoption today. Precious Jamie (mom to five beautiful puppies) decided she loved her foster mommy and daddy so much that she wanted to stay. Our own Chris and Bruce Merzario made it official today. Jamie is home. She even helped her new mommy fill out the contract.

Hyacinth (known as Hi C) was adopted today. She was fostered by Tram Hgo.
I think the pictures show that she is happy to be going to a forever home!
Sweet foster Bailey was adopted today. His fosters, Bob and Pat Wykes, say that they will miss his happy disposition and sweet smile but think his smile shows he's happy to be going to his forever home!
Peaches, fostered by Randy and Nancy Thomas, was adopted today!
Springer was a young energetic pup when she came to RHS and the foster home of Gladys Fung. She's still young and definitely energetic, but now she's in her forever home! She has a dog sibling, Lucy, at home to play with and she will be renamed as "Ethel". How cute!
He was a sweet and loving boy, and we miss him very much. He was wonderful, and I'm happy he was able to spend his final years with us. We wouldn't hesitate to adopt another senior again, as they still have so much love to give (I hope others remember that!).
Bella was adopted recently and has another kitty, CJ, for a friend and playmate. Bella's new mom, Pat, says that Bella likes to chase CJ though the house, even though he is more than twice her size. When Bella is in Pat's lap, CJ joins them and grooms Bella. Sounds like love!
