Widget knew along that she was home (so did we). :) Her mom and dad, Sandy and Bill Ackerman, rescued her when she showed up at their door on a stormy night. They fostered her, and made it official yesterday!
Jessa came into the RHS program this summer. She was treated for heartworms and fostered by Martha Denton, then by Courtney Lyle, who adopted her. She will be an only dog, at least for awhile, then Courtney may foster an RHS kitten or another RHS dog. :)
Sabrina waited a long time for her forever home! She came into the program with her mom, Audrey, and sisters Eliza and Sabrina in July 2015. She was fostered by Pooch Hotel, Alex Lopez, and then by Gladys Fung. Sabrina is the first and only dog for her sweet new family.
Playful kitten Notorious C.A.T. was adopted this week by a couple that has previously adopted from RHS. He has a new sister kitty named Inkling, and will be well loved his new home. He has tentatively been renamed Pumpkin for his orange coloring and October adoption, but that could change. :)
Thanks to Stephanie Hickey and…
We’ve decided to combine two of our most favorite things – dogs and craft beer – into an event to help us do some good: provide food, shelter and vet care for the wonderful dogs and cats in our care.
For a mere $20, you’ll get three (3) hand crafted beers from our friend at Four…
Our playful boy, Scruffy found a wonderful forever home today. The adopters' daughter spotted him on RHS website and felt in love with him straight away. We're so happy to see Scruffy going to this caring family and he seemed to make himself at home during the home visit.
Thanks to Lyn Hurt for fostering Scruffy…
Sockhop (now known as Chuy) had a rough start. He was surrendered to The Vet House by a client after apparently eating roach poison. He was very ill, and the family was unable to pay for his care, so The Vet House contacted RHS for help. Sockhop was boarded at The Vet House for awhile,…
Benny, the adorable little brindle pup (brother to Itsy Bitsy, Rio, and Raphael), was adopted by his foster mom, Kathleen Wilson. Benny was also fostered by Martha Denton, then by Yvonne and Johny. Thanks to everyone who helped take care of this sweet boy. He joins Georgia, adopted by Kathleen in August 2015.
Adorable little Baby Cakes was adopted today! She is the first dog for her new family, and they put in lots of work researching and learning how to care for her. They even bought a larger car so she could travel comfortably in her crate! Baby Cakes will be known as Baby Oreo, due to…
Beautiful boxer mix Penelope, fostered by Donna Cannon, was adopted by a fun family of five with no other pets. Penelope will rarely be left home alone and has three great kids to play with. This was Donna's first RHS foster. Congratulations, Donna!
